Making an Aggregator Site

For the past few days, I’ve been trying to create an aggregator site that contains my colleagues blog posts. At first, I use Drupal using the built-in aggregator module. Although it works well, but it don’t display the pictures from the blog posts. Then I tried using WordPress. I’ve tried two or three WordPress plugins that can create an aggregator site. I decided to use FeedWordPress plugin. Because it works as I expected. You can see the result site in here.

Spam Comments

Since this blog is up, akismet already catch about 800 spam comments. For today it catches about 40 spam comments. I’m wondering how they spam a blog site? Are they using a special software or spam it manually?
I’ve tried to observe the spam. Some posts generate more spam than other posts. So I closed some posts for commenting just to see if it could block the spam that come through that post.
I read that some blogs also receive trackback spam. Actually it happened in my older blog. Luckily it doesn’t happened yet in this blog.

Import from Blogger

At last I have some little time to migrate my posts from my previous blog to this blog. I have to get through several steps to get this done. First I export the WP database from this blog into local WP that I have installed in my computer.
After that, from my local WP, I import all the posting from Blogger with built-in feature from WP. Then I export the local WP database into this blog’s database. Done

I use that several steps so I have some backup if something goes wrong. Although all posts are imported, but not all the comments are imported. The comments that are using Haloscan services can’t be imported. Yes, there is a way to import them, but it cost some money

Kumpul-kumpul Blogfam 12 November 2006

Setelah dari Bandung, aku balik ke Jakarta lagi keesokan harinya karena ada acara kumpul-kumpul Blogfam di rumah Sir Sammy dan Mbak Erfi. Dari Bandung jam 9 pagi, naik travel lagi dari stasiun kereta Bandung, sampai di stasiun Gambir jam 11 siang. Nah kalau ini di perjalanan tidur terus Dari Gambir naik busway ke arah Harmoni, lalu pindah busway ke arah Blok M. Dari Blok M baru naik taksi ke lokasi acara (maklum ngga apal jalur bus). Sampai disana sudah banyak orang dan banyak makanan Laporan lengkap acara kumpul-kumpulnya ditunggu aja dari Mbak Erfi yah

Selesai acara, aku, Sir Sammy dan Mbak Erfi ke Dharmawangsa Square. Aku dan Sir Sammy nongkrong di Oh La La Cafe sambil internetan sementara Mbak Erfi ada urusan pribadi. Dari situ aku langsung pulang dan istirahat. Dua hari yang cukup menyenangkan

Akhirnya daku mempunyai domain sendiri hehehe…

Thanks buat Ayna, Clara, Melia, Teddy dan Thomas atas opininya dalam pemilihan domain yang saya pakai ini. Mudah-mudahan jadi sering nge-blog deh.

Wah udah lama nih ngga posting di blog ini hehehehe. Akhir-akhir ini memang lagi sibuk. Kadang-kadang kalau lagi ngga di depan komputer, ada niat buat nulis tentang sesuatu. Tapi pas udah di depan komputer langsung ngerjain yang lain dan jadi lupa posting. Lama-lama ceritanya jadi basi deh.

Ok deh, nanti posting lagi deh.
