Red Cliff II or also known as Chi bi xia: Jue zhan tian xia is the second episode of Red Cliff or also known as Chi bi. This movie is about the The Battle of Red Cliff in Three Kingdoms era in China.

When I saw the first episode of the movie, I was dissapointed because I didn’t know that the movie will be continued to the second episode. The first episode ends with the preparation of the battle. So I was curious how will the movie end.

In this second episode of the movie, it tells the story how Cao Cao’s efforts to take over the Red Cliff through land and sea. But his effort can be broken by Zhao Yu who has coalition with Sun Quan and Liu Bei. Superb strategy collaboration between Zhao Yu and Zhuge Liang (Liu Bei’s advisor) could predict the move that will be used by Cao Cao, so they could counter attack Cao Cao’s strategy. The war strategy used is not only for physical attack, but also for moral attack between both sides makes this film more appealing.

With John Woo as the director of this movie, there are a lot of interesting action scenes. Also with a good plot of the story, makes this movie worth to watch

Ok, after watching Syaharani and The Queenfireworks, I watched the performance of Incognito who replace Matt Bianco because Matt Bianco is not coming to Indonesia. Watching Incognito is like listening to the CD and watch the group sings and play the music instruments. So I didn’t watch them until their show is over.

After that, I walk around a bit, browsing the Java Jazz Festival 2008 merchandise, also browsing the food and drinks available in the area, because you can’t bring drinks from outside.
After buying a bottle of Frestea Green which cost 15.000 rupiah, I continue walking around. Saw a little bit the performance of Coda from Australia and some other jazz musicians which I can’t recall their names. Then there is this group who play a song called “Bajing Luncat”, a song in sundanese language with Jazz melody, it’s really cool!

Just finished watching the performance of Syaharani and The Queenfireworks. I’ve been listening their music through my iPod and my computer. Listening their live performance is superb!

I’m going to attend the first day of Java Jazz Festival 2008. Some of the artists that are going to perform tomorrow are Lee Ritenour, Matt Bianco, Bobby Caldwell, James Ingram, Syaharani and The Queenfireworks, Ecoutez!, Renee Oldstead, and much more.

Hari sabtu kemarin tanggal 27 Oktober 2007 saya menuju ke Bandung untuk menghadiri acara Reuni Akbar SMA Negeri 2 Bandung yang berlokasi di jalan Cihampelas 173. Berangkat dari Jakarta pukul 14.00 menggunakan XTrans dari Tomang dan turun di jalan Sastra Bandung. Karena tidak sempat mencari-cari tempat tebengan untuk menginap, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk menginap di Hotel Cihampelas 2 yang berlokasi di seberang sekolah SMAN 2 Bandung. Dan ternyata ada diskon 15%. Lumayan

Lalu pada pukul 18.30 saya menyeberang ke SMAN 2 Bandung. Ternyata yang datang masih sedikit. Saya bantu-bantu di bagian registrasi pengunjung yang rata-rata didominasi oleh angkatan tua Hadir pula di acara tersebut Bpk. Agum Gumelar sebagai Ketua Dewan Penasehat Ikatan Alumni SMAN 2 Bandung dan tentunya sebagai alumni SMAN 2 Bandung angkatan 1964.

Setelah kurang enak badan dari hari jumat malam, akhirnya disempatkan juga pergi ke hari terakhir JakJazz 2006 bersama Buan. Setibanya di Istora Senayan, langsung menuju Busway Stage tempat SMOMA sedang mempertunjukkan performa musik jazz nya yang energik. SMOMA berasal dari Italia dan terbentuk pada tahun 2000. Terdiri dari 3 orang personil yaitu Tobia yang bermain bass dan keyboard, Andy G atau yang juga dikenal sebagai Andrea pada terompet dan sang vokalis yang cantik Simona. Dengan membawakan lagu-lagu seperti “Sing It Back” dan “Give Me The Night” bisa membuat para penonton yang ada di sekitar panggung untuk begoyang mengikuti irama lagu tersebut.

Hari Senin, 13 November 2006, setelah dua hari dengan acara-acara menyenangkan, aku kembali ke dunia nyata hehehe. Dimulai dengan ke kampus untuk bertemu dengan Sir Revvi untuk briefing masalah website sampai sekitar jam 12 siang. Setelah briefing aku ke kantor bersama Sir Sammy dan ternyata di kantor sedang mati listrik yang berakibat tidak ada kegiatan di kantor karena semua pekerjaan harus menggunakan komputer. Jadi kita menunggu sampai sekitar jam 3 sore. Dan bagusnya (sialnya?) listrik belum nyala juga. Akhirnya diputuskan untuk dipulangkan hehehe… Mau pulang tanggung, jadi aku, Ripan dan Helmy bersepakat untuk nomat di Mall Taman Anggrek.

Sesampainya di Mall Taman Anggrek, kita masih belum memutuskan film apa yang akan ditonton. Setelah “berdiskusi” akhirnya memutuskan untuk menonton The Prestige. Film ini menceritakan tentang 2 orang pesulap yang berkompetisi untuk menciptakan ilusi untuk membuat para penonton mereka tercengang. Karena obsesi untuk mengalahkan saingannya sangat besar, cara apapun dilakukan untuk menang. Jalan ceritanya cukup bagus dan endingnya pun cukup jelas. Film ini layak untuk ditonton dan aku kasih 2.5 bintang dari 5 (loh kok jadi review film?)
