Ammar aka y3dips, one of the founding father of Indonesian Ubuntu Community is getting married on August 16, 2008.
May he and his wife live happily ever after.

On May 31, 2008, I attended Kumis Plus in Cafe Arum Manis Bandung. Kumis stands for Kumpul Milis, an event that is regularly held by the member of the alumni of SMA Negeri 2 Bandung (Public Senior High School 2 Bandung) mailing list. We are known as the SMA2BDG-Outsiders.
Why the Plus? Because in this event we add some presentations that is brought by some of the alumni. For this first Kumis Plus, the presentations was brought by Ms. Kanya about Indonesia Multi Sclerosis Group, Mr. Hardi Mr. Teguh about his company PT. Telenais Aset Tangguh, Mr. Hardi about Kanal Dua Newsletter and Mrs. Arie about Hello;Motion. Two additional presentations was brought by Eddy Brokoli about SWOT analysis and Mr. Eriko about Yayasan Mata Hati Indonesia.

Ok, after watching Syaharani and The Queenfireworks, I watched the performance of Incognito who replace Matt Bianco because Matt Bianco is not coming to Indonesia. Watching Incognito is like listening to the CD and watch the group sings and play the music instruments. So I didn’t watch them until their show is over.

After that, I walk around a bit, browsing the Java Jazz Festival 2008 merchandise, also browsing the food and drinks available in the area, because you can’t bring drinks from outside.
After buying a bottle of Frestea Green which cost 15.000 rupiah, I continue walking around. Saw a little bit the performance of Coda from Australia and some other jazz musicians which I can’t recall their names. Then there is this group who play a song called “Bajing Luncat”, a song in sundanese language with Jazz melody, it’s really cool!

I’m going to attend the first day of Java Jazz Festival 2008. Some of the artists that are going to perform tomorrow are Lee Ritenour, Matt Bianco, Bobby Caldwell, James Ingram, Syaharani and The Queenfireworks, Ecoutez!, Renee Oldstead, and much more.

Hari sabtu kemarin tanggal 27 Oktober 2007 saya menuju ke Bandung untuk menghadiri acara Reuni Akbar SMA Negeri 2 Bandung yang berlokasi di jalan Cihampelas 173. Berangkat dari Jakarta pukul 14.00 menggunakan XTrans dari Tomang dan turun di jalan Sastra Bandung. Karena tidak sempat mencari-cari tempat tebengan untuk menginap, akhirnya saya memutuskan untuk menginap di Hotel Cihampelas 2 yang berlokasi di seberang sekolah SMAN 2 Bandung. Dan ternyata ada diskon 15%. Lumayan

Lalu pada pukul 18.30 saya menyeberang ke SMAN 2 Bandung. Ternyata yang datang masih sedikit. Saya bantu-bantu di bagian registrasi pengunjung yang rata-rata didominasi oleh angkatan tua Hadir pula di acara tersebut Bpk. Agum Gumelar sebagai Ketua Dewan Penasehat Ikatan Alumni SMAN 2 Bandung dan tentunya sebagai alumni SMAN 2 Bandung angkatan 1964.

Beatrix Gultom namanya, salah seorang temanku waktu di UNPAR. Pertama kali kenal dia lewat fitur ‘talk’ di telnet server student99, dia sempat dijuluki “Queen of Talk” oleh teman-teman di warnet UNPAR. Setelah itu kita sering ngobrol-ngobrol, hang out bareng, ketawa ketiwi, nongkrong di gembul bareng….
Bea ini adalah mahasiswa HI angkatan ’99. Bea tuh orangnya rame, suka ngasal, dan baik.
Sepertinya kamu tuh susah dideskripsikan dengan kata-kata…

Pada tanggal 24 Juni 2007, Bea telah meninggal karena terjadi kecelakaan waktu dia sedang diving di kepulauan seribu.
Bea, thanks for making my life more colourfull. Sayang aku kurang sempat memberikan arti persahabatan yang sesungguhnya.

Selamat jalan Bea. Semoga kamu lebih tenang di atas sana. Dan semoga amal ibadah kamu diterima olehNya. Amin.

Today I went to my friend, Auriga and Indra’s wedding. Actually my friend is the bride. I hardly knew the groom, only know him from Riga’s stories.
I knew Riga since I chat in #indonesia in Undernet server back at 1996. And it’s been a really long time since we met. And I’m surprised that she still recognized me So as her sister Dira, she still recognized me too hehehehe.

Congratulations to Riga and Indra, may God always give the best for both of you and your families.
