Ubuntu @ Acacia Hotel

Last night I have to work overtime, so my office gave us a room in Acacia Hotel. In my room, there is a PC provided by the hotel for the room guest. And I’m surprised that the PC is using Ubuntu :D

Ubuntu 7.10 Released

After a long wait in #ubuntu-release-party on irc.freenode.net, finally Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy Gibbon) is released. You can read the press release here http://www.ubuntu.com/news/ubuntu710

The Ubuntu team also release Gobuntu 7.10 for the first time.

Gobuntu 7.10 is the debut full release of the Ubuntu version that is entirely composed of open source non-restricted software. For a certain user type, Gobuntu will act as the test bed for developing a user-friendly operating system with no compromise in terms of the open source philosophy. It is recommended only for experienced Linux enthusiasts.

Installing Ubuntu Studio Theme

Ubuntu Studio is a multimedia editing/creation flavour of Ubuntu. It’s built for the GNU/Linux audio, video, and graphic enthusiast or professional. Because I don’t do audio, video and graphic editing or creation, so I didn’t install Ubuntu Studio. But from the screenshot, I really like the theme that is used by Ubuntu Studio. So I decide to install the theme into my Feisty Fawn.
